Bookmap vs TradingLite vs The Tradeskill

Three ways to see crypto order flow. Bookmap is a deep professional platform, TradingLite is a browser charting platform built around the heatmap, and The Tradeskill is a free browser tool for Binance Futures with a footprint, CVD and scored fair value gaps. Here is where each one fits, including where ours falls short.

Bookmap and TradingLite details were checked on October 21, 2026 from their public pricing and feature pages. Plans change, so confirm on their sites before you buy.

Where Bookmap is the better choice

  • You trade CME futures or stocks as well as crypto.
  • You want to place and manage orders straight from the heatmap or the ladder.
  • You need longer stored heatmap history (24 hours to 7 days of crypto backfill on paid plans) or several symbols open at once.
  • You want the deepest ecosystem: add-ons, an API and extras such as market-by-order data on the top plan.

Where TradingLite is the better choice

  • You want heatmap charting in the browser with stored history, so the heatmap is already there when you open a chart.
  • You want to write your own indicators in LitScript or use community scripts.
  • You want more crypto exchanges than Binance alone.

Where The Tradeskill fits

  • You want to learn and use order flow before paying for a subscription.
  • You trade Binance Futures pairs or XAUUSDT gold and want heatmap, footprint, CVD and fair value gaps on one chart.
  • You want fair value gaps graded by displacement, volume, delta and footprint instead of marking every three-candle gap by hand.
  • You want to practise what you see, risk-free, on a $20,000 paper trading account.

Our limitations, plainly

  • One venue: Binance USD-M Futures. No spot, no other exchanges, no aggregated feed.
  • No stored heatmap history. The heatmap records from when you open the chart and keeps the last hour, about 2% either side of price.
  • The footprint backfills the latest 40,000 trades, so older candles have no footprint.
  • Timeframes from 1m to 4H; no tick or range charts.
  • No order entry, no custom scripts, no stocks and no CME futures.
  • Needs a free account and a desktop or tablet browser.

Which one should you use?

If you are new to order flow, start free: learn to read a heatmap, a footprint and CVD on our tool and practise on paper. If you outgrow one venue or need stored history, TradingLite is the natural browser step up. If you trade futures and stocks, or want to execute from the ladder, Bookmap is built for that.

Plenty of traders use more than one: a free tool for a quick read on a Binance pair and a paid platform for their main market.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free Bookmap alternative?+

Bookmap itself has a free Digital plan with real-time crypto for one symbol at a time. If you want a free browser tool that also puts a footprint chart, CVD and scored fair value gaps on the same chart, The Tradeskill's order-flow tool does that for 31 Binance Futures markets.

Is TradingLite free?+

TradingLite is sold as paid Silver and Gold plans. Check its pricing page for current prices and any trial.

Why does The Tradeskill only use Binance?+

The tool connects your browser straight to Binance Futures' public market-data streams, which is what keeps it free. Binance USD-M Futures is one of the deepest crypto derivatives venues, but it is still one venue: liquidity and flow on other exchanges are not shown.

Are you affiliated with Bookmap or TradingLite?+

No. The Tradeskill is independent. Bookmap and TradingLite are trademarks of their owners and are named here only to compare products.
